Weekly Weigh-in #40: Treading Water

After another week of sticking with the program (mostly), Mr. and Mrs. didn't make much progress. Weeks like this remind me of treading water. You're not really going anywhere, but you're not sinking either. Could be worse!

Jay
Starting weight: 301 pounds
Current weight: 255 pounds
Pounds lost this week: (1) pound
Total pounds lost: 46 pounds

Susan
Starting weight: 238 pounds
Current weight: 181.5 pounds
Pounds lost this week: 0 pounds
Total pounds lost: 56.5 pounds

I am so happy Jay has his first appointment with a personal trainer this week! He's going to BEAT Personal Training, which has a convenient location on the way to Jay's office. We both feel like this is just what he needs to bust through his plateau.

As for me, I'm pretty sure next week will show better results. I've been doing well and will continue to use MyFitnessPal to keep tabs on my calories. Also, this is the first "official" week of my company's Health and Wellness Challenge, so I'm sure my competitive nature will push me to be extra good!

Speaking of corporate health and wellness programs, you might find this Philadelphia Inquirer article interesting. Apparently, Biggest Loser winner Bill Germanakos now serves as the "wellness ambassador" for his employer, Quest Diagnostics. He talks about what his job entails and how important it is for companies to help their employees live fit.

I'm going to pass that information on to my boss - we're a small company, but we could really benefit from that kinda atmosphere around here.

Maybe less donuts would end up in the break room!
