Weekly Weigh-in #48: Some Pain, No Gain

When we weighed in today, I don't think either of us expected a Thanksgiving miracle. I mean, who loses weight during the week of Thanksgiving? Vegans, maybe?

But we were both glad we didn't gain.

I'm proud of us for not going crazy with the goodies, pies and many leftovers that come with Thanksgiving. We managed to be pretty conservative. And both of us worked out several times last week.

I've had the pleasure of using a free 10-day pass to a fancier workout place than the Y (TriHealth Fitness and Health Pavilion). Thanks, Mom! We went to a couple of water aerobics classes together, Mom and I. Water aerobics is an effective cardio and strength combo workout, plus very relaxing. I'm like a puddle of goo afterward, similar to after a nice massage. I also lifted weights a couple of times and I'm quite sore (in a good way).

Mr. unfortunately hurt himself during a personal training session -- this time, his hip. He's been limping around the house since Saturday, poor guy. We hope his hip will be good enough to go for another session this week, but he's been advised by Dr. Mrs. to take it easy!

Hey, breaking even during the holidays is a winning deal! I somehow lost a lb. last week-I think it was water weight-but still! I'll take it where I can get it during the holidays. Keep it up you 2-you look FAB!!!
