Only one of us weighed in this week, so our results are incomplete. Suffice it to say, two out of three members of our household were sick this week. We did not make weight loss a big priority. Making it through each day pretty much took it out of us.
Because I was the healthy one (and taking care of Mr. and Little Miss), I guess it's fair enough to share my numbers:
Susan
Starting weight: 238 pounds
Current weight: 180 pounds
Pounds lost this week: (.5) pound
Total pounds lost: 58 pounds
Obviously, I'm not psyched about the scale this week. But what can I say? After keeping a no-flu-shot-getting husband with the flu and a horrible cough-and-cold-suffering daughter alive this week, it's no surprise I had little energy to exercise. I did my best to make my own food choices healthy. My daughter eats practically nothing (she's 2), so that trend continued.
I know Mr. nursed his flu with some extra calories and zero exercise. Now he's in Vegas for the Consumer Electronics Show (for his job--cool, huh?) and has no scale access. I packed a goodie bag of healthy snacks for him and I know he'll be doing a lot of walking this week. I just hope he gets enough rest, drinks plenty of water and eats as nutritiously as possible in the land of all-you-can-eat buffets and alcohol excess.
Now that I have no sick people to care for, I plan to do at least 30 minutes of cardio each day this week--even if it's just on the stationary bike. Back to basics, people.
