I was out of town most of last week attending the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) for work. I didn't have an opportunity to weigh-in last week, but walking all over Las Vegas for three days in a row certainly helps in terms of exercise. Now that I'm back home Mrs. and I can focus on getting back to basics and paying closer attention to what we eat. Last week's numbers were okay for both Susan and I, and we're looking forward to keeping up this trend as we start the new year.
Without further delay, here are this week's numbers:
Jay
Starting weight: 301 pounds
Current weight: 261 pounds
Pounds lost this week: 1 pound
Total pounds lost: 40 pounds
Susan
Starting weight: 238 pounds
Current weight: 179 pounds
Pounds lost this week: 1 pound
Total pounds lost: 59 pounds
We're both glad to see losses on the scale this week, but we also know that we need to get back into full swing with our exercise and avoid excess calories during the day. December wasn't easy for either of us since both our offices were loaded with plenty of tasty treats for the holidays.
Now that I've recovered from the flu I feel like I have a little more energy for exercise. I'm heading to my personal trainer this afternoon to jump back into my regular workouts, and Susan and I both want to get back to using our exercise equipment at home on a regular basis.
