Weekly Weigh-in: A Sigh of Relief

I can't say I've done anything drastically different this week, but after last week's 4-pound gain, I held back on the "goodies" and tried to eat more veggies and fruits. I also made more effort to be physically active. For instance, this weekend I walked outdoors quite a bit, which not only felt good (ahh, sunshine at last!) but also burned those extra calories.

Jay (currently on a "break")
Starting weight: 301 pounds
Current weight: ??? pounds
Pounds lost this week: ? pounds
Total pounds lost: ? pounds

Susan
Starting weight: 238 pounds
Current weight: 195 pounds
Pounds lost this week: .5 pounds
Total pounds lost: 43 pounds

So there you have it -- I lost 0.5 pound and stayed strong. That is a relief! Also, based on some of our dear readers' comments (particularly Andrea's), I looked into water aerobics classes at my local Y. I've decided to try the Monday-Wednesday-Friday classes after work. I'll still get home in time to hang with my girl and put her to bed. But it will also be a good no-impact workout and hopefully relieve some tension, too. Weekends, I'll do more of the walking.

Here's to a fit week for all of us!

You will love it! A good workout and relief on those sore, swollen hands and feet. If you enjoy it as much as I did, you'll look forward to it! Except for changing in and out of the wet swim suit!

Sounds fun! I was much better about working out with my first pregnancy (at least in the beginning) and I liked "The Lotte Birk Method" and "Bar Method" workouts. Its kind of a low stress yoga/pilates-ish workout. Pretty short, Goes by fast, no jiggling involved. I need to dig those videos out...
