Weekly Weigh-in: This Is Getting Ridiculous

How many pregnant women log their weekly weight gain for the world to see? I ask you. I feel like I am just torturing myself here, yet I refuse to give up. I still feel compelled to face the truth, preparing myself for what lies ahead once this baby is born and I get back on the fit trail to 150 lbs. So why not face the truth on the Interwebs?

One fitness highlight from the week: On Friday evening, I walked for 1 1/2 hours in our local Relay for Life to raise money for the American Cancer Society. You should've seen me huffing and puffing my way around this very easy paved walking trail. Thanks to my good old Dad for keeping (slow) pace with me. It made the whole experience much more tolerable!

I don't know if you've looked at it this way, but if you're gaining about 1 lb. a week, with 7 to go then you'll only hit between 210 and 215. That's still 18 down from your starting weight! That, my friend, is a success! And you'll have a beautiful baby to show for your efforts. Don't be so hard on yourself-you're still exercising, so the weight should fall off after baby comes and you ramp it up some.

Keep up the exercising and don't throw in the towel on your good food choices! You're doing awesome, and every millimeter closer to fit that you are once your boy makes his grand entrance is going to make a difference.
